Good morning and happy Sabbath everyone. Our bread of life this morning is shared by ND Willie . Let us take time in reading it and ponder on the lesson that we can learn from it.
🌄Good morning and Happy Sabbath brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our manna this morning is entitled:
📌 THE LIVING WORD
Then he opened their minds so that they could understand the Scriptures (Luke 24:45).
There are many people who regard Bible study as a bit of a nuisance. They have been taught that it is a duty, and consequently they struggle through the pages and breathe a sigh of relief when they have read the prescribed passage.
Others find that they don’t understand what they are reading, or that their daily problems destroy their inclination to read the Bible. Many people read the Bible only in the evening after a day’s work, when they are tired and cannot possibly take in what they are reading.
If you are having problems with your Bible study because of these or other reasons, it might be worthwhile to consider that perhaps you are spending more time reading about God than spending time with God.
It is necessary to know the Incarnate Word personally so that you can live the life of spiritual abundance that He offers you. In order to know Him it is necessary to reach out to Him in the silence of your inner room through contemplation and prayer. And to validate this activity you should serve Him among your fellow human beings.
If you draw near unto God in this manner, you will find that the Word starts to assume new life and meaning, because you are no longer merely reading a book. Instead you are living the Word together with its Author!
Amen
May God bless us all.
HAPPY SABBATH DAY TO ALL!
