Connecting With Jesus

We find that hard to understand; that God would punish a whole nation because of what one person did.

But our ways are not His ways.

It was Achan who committed the sin, but the whole nation had to suffer because of what Achan did.

Achan took some loot from the ruins of Jericho; he took some gold, silver and a valuable garment and he hid them in a hole he dug in the ground near the center of his tent.

The story of Achan was about theft and deception because of his love of Money.

What he did affects his whole family. That was a very sad story. Don’t cover up the sins of your family because you will be judged by God too.

1 Timothy 6:9-11 KJV
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. [10] For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. [11] But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
