GOD FIRST (GOD’S QUARANTINE RULES)

Leviticus 13 gives God’s detailed instructions on how the priests were to determine skin diseases. All the signs for the thorough examination were given so the priests would not make any mistake in judging whether a person was clean or unclean. The number of days for quarantine or isolation was also provided for careful execution.

The process of quarantining patients and, ultimately, excluding people with apparently infectious and untreatable skin diseases from the community, was necessary to preserve the Israelites from being wiped out, or at least significantly reduced and weakened by disease.
