Good morning Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Our manna this morning is entitled:

“CONFIDENCE FOR THE FUTURE”

The way of the Lord is a refuge for the righteous (Prov. 10:29).

To be forewarned should mean to be equipped to cope with every life situation. Unfortunately many people disregard warnings and then they are surprised and hurt when they have to bear the consequences of their actions.

The Bible is full of warnings. Some have already been fulfilled, but others refer to prophecies that have not yet been fulfilled. It would seem as if current world events are inexorably moving towards a climax. The times in which we live are unparalleled in human history, and intelligent people justifiably wonder what the future holds.

People who live within God’s will because they are faithful, and who believe that mankind is not controlled by fate but by a loving Creator, draw comfort from the knowledge that, despite appearances to the contrary, there is a divine plan at work in man’s life.

This faith creates trust and provides hope; it conquers fear and gives the Christian disciple the ability to step into the future with confidence and in the certain conviction that God is still in control. To possess this kind of faith God must stand at the center of your life. If this is the case you will see world events in the light of the eternal design of God and you will be equipped to meet the future with confidence.
