Our Manna this morning is shared by Bro Willie. Let’s take time in reading it and please feel free to share your insights after. Thanks.
Daily Reconciliation
There is one God and one Mediator between God and men the Man Christ Jesus Timothy 2:5
The bottlenose dolphins that live off the coast of Bermuda dive up to 1000 meters looking for prey. This ability is unique when compared to dolphins that live closer to the shore and only go down about ten meters Physiologists have found that this deep diving is made possible by the presence of 25 percent more red blood cells.
Jesus’ blood is the reason we have access to the Father and to heaven. His blood reminds us of His spotless life and the death that was caused by our sin. It is because of His sacrifice that Jesus is able to continually administer salvation from the heavenly Sanctuary.
The earthly priests transferred sin to the sanctuary using the blood of animals. Jesus’ ministry in the heavenly sanctuary involves the Father’s acceptance of Christ’s life on our behalf. This can happen because of what Christ did on earth: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Receiving the righteousness of God involves the forgiveness of our offenses and meager attempts at self-justification. It also involves giving us the power to overcome the temptations we are currently experiencing: “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus’ presence in heaven assures us of our forgiveness, provides power over temptations, and reminds us that He can empathize with us.
When Jesus was on earth, He had to endure difficult temptations. Now that He’s in heaven representing us, we know that the power He sends us is rooted in His empathy for our struggles. Although this whole process seems particularly intricate, it is so essential that it happens every day in the Sanctuary.
