Connecting With Jesus

*GIVE CHEERFULLY AS A CHRISTIANS*

Give cheerfully, gladly, willingly, thankful that you are able to do something to advance God’s kingdom in the world. Empty the heart of selfishness, and brace the mind for Christian activity.

📌 We may be able to acquire assets; however, with our own strength surely we couldn’t have all our possessions. We don’t own something in this world. Let’s be reminded that everything comes from God. He has taught us on how to be generous. How do we apply His teachings then?

📌 Do we give because we want other people to praise us?
📌 Do we share because we heartily want to simply because we want to please the Giver?

🤔 REMEMBER: Giving is the secret of having more.

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
1 Chronicles 29:14

We can learn to be more loving if we share and care for each other meaning to say we’ll extend our helping hand to those in need without expecting any return.

A love that comes from a pure heart ❤️ is a sincere love that we show towards our brethren, we help our brethren because we love to not because we have to.

James 1:27 KJV
[27] Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Helping others is something God wants you to do–but He also wants you to do it for the right reasons. Giving money to a homeless man because you think someone is watching, or serving food at a soup kitchen so you can brag to your friends–is not what God has in mind. Jesus makes it very clear that when you help others–you do so with humility and without expecting anything in return.
