“The Joy of God”
Introduction:
(Christian Joy) While Solomon remained faithful to God not only was prosperous, but his heart experienced immense joy, the joy of Obey God. But his last years were of utter sadness, personal failure And the kingdom, scarcity, enemies. This had its origin when it ceased to be true to God. Our joy is not based on material abundance but in God Himself (making it clear that I think God wants to bless us) … The joy of God according to the Bible
I. The Definition of Joy
A. A. In the A.T. The joy is presented as joy, wellbeing, joy, delight, rejoicing, accompanied by a sense of morality and righteousness. In the N.T. joy means: joy, delight, complacency. The joy of the Christian is God himself, so he says the scripture: “I will enter the altar of God, the god of my joy and my joy;” “And I will praise you with harp, O God, my God” (Sal 43:4). Therefore, this joy is linked to the joy of God Himself, to live in his will, therefore the father said: “This is my beloved son in whom I am pleased”, that is, in which I rejoice, why? Because the son lived to do the will of the father, the joy of the son, was the joy of the Father, for Jesus did what pleased the father. B. The example of the Lord Jesus, Heb. 12:2. “The Eyes in Jesus, the author and Consummator of the faith, which by the joy put before him suffered the cross, despising the reproach, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God.” In this verse we can see the strength of joy, because it brought Jesus to victory on the cross and to overcome the reproach. It says the text: “suffered the cross”, here to suffer means to resist, to endure and “reproach” means: dishonor, insult and disgrace. By Joy, Jesus resisted the cross and despised. the insults.
The joy of God requires a correct perspective.
A. God’s vision must be the vision of his children. The final part of Heb 12:2, tells us that after this, Jesus sat at the right hand of the father. That was the vision of the son, because it was the father’s plan. The people of Israel walked through the wilderness, but their scarce vision strengtheneded unbelief; The difficulties of the road produced in them grumbling and murmuring; By not looking by faith the land of abundance, the memories of the past (of Egypt) and fear, made them yearn to go back …
B. Resentment does not allow you to enjoy the joy of God. The Prophet Jonah is an example of this. What a privilege when the Lord commissions us. God instructs Jonah to conquer a city with his message, it would be used as a faithful prophet of the Lord. But his heart was resentful. His heart wanted vengeance. His heart was driven by his spiritual pride (he was Jewish, covenant son and Promise, they, the Ninevites were Gentiles, whom the Jews called “Dogs” …). And so that command of God to Jonah, it becomes bitterness, for not having the right perspective.
C. The absence of God’s joy generates frustration and anger. The Book of the Prophet Jonah teaches us that Jonah was angry, he felt frustrated, seeing the salvation of God with the city of Nineveh. Scripture says of Jonah, “but this displeased Jonah very much, and made him furious,” and said to God, “so now, Sir, I implore you to take my life.” “I’d rather die than go on living!” (N.V. I Jonah 4). The lack of forgiveness, resentment, bitterness prevented Jonah from experiencing the joy of God for the salvation of a city. The joy of God sustains us in the midst of adversity, Fil. 4:4. “Rejoice in the Lord always.” Again I say, rejoice! Scripture also says: “The Kingdom of God does not consist of food and drink, but in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”, in heaven there are no people afflicted, depressed, resentful, or angry with God. Christ is seated at the right hand of the father, and will return. But now in us is the Holy Spirit of God … who sometimes contristamos for our disobedience. Paul was imprisoned in Rome, in the midst of God’s will and speaks to a church constituted, free and from his condition encourages them (his secret: communion with God).
Conclusión:
God has planned the best for his children, let us not allow crises or trials to away the joy of God, we must have the right vision and obey God, fortified in his presence to fulfill what God has designed for us.
God bless everyone🙏
