It is important that believers of Jesus Christ must continue to grow in the knowledge of Him.

The bible commands :

👉 believers must know God
Psalms 46:10 Be still ,and know that I am God !I am exalted among the nations,I am exalted in the earth.


1 Chronicles 28:9
9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

👉Eternal life depends upon knowing God through Jesus Christ. Eternal life according to the bible is entering into a personal relationship with God .

John 17:3 And this eternal life ,that they may know you,the only true God,and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

👉Love God
The more we know about God ,the more we can love and obey God.
Jeremiah state God saying:
“This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:23,24)

👉Experience spiritual growth
The more knows God, intellectually and experientially, the more we can grow spiritually.

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

👉Knowing God helps us with a better understanding of our own identity.Before we can appreciate who we are ,we need to know who made us and why we are here on earth.Therefore ,the more we learn about God ,the more we will be able to learn about ourselves.

👉True worship can be the result.True worship can result from an accurate knowledge of the Lord.(Romans 11:33-36)

👉Knowing God results in the realization of judgement to come.

Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

There are a number of benefits in knowing the one, true God and this encourages us to live in light of eternity.
