WEEKLY SPIRIT OF PROPHECY READING

I remember when my husband asked me to marry him. I said, “YES!” and couldn’t wait to tell my family and my friends. I was so happy to spend the rest of my life with him. I still feel that way about him after all these years.

I had the same experience when I found out, after several years of waiting, that we were expecting our first child. I wanted everyone to know and could hardly resist just blurting it out to people I would meet. I think I even told a few strangers.

When was the last time you felt that way about prayer meeting? Are you waiting for the hour when you can share what God is doing in your life and in the lives of those you are praying for? If your answer is that prayer meeting is boring, or that you never have anything to say or that it has been a very long time since anyone got excited about prayer meeting, you need a fresh experience with God.

“We must live for Christ minute by minute, hour by hour, and day by day; then Christ will dwell in us, and when we meet together, His love will be in our hearts, welling up like a spring in the desert, refreshing all, and making those who are ready to perish, eager to drink of the waters of life.” ChS 211.5. Having a daily, vital relationship with God is having something to share, even with a stranger.
