He Knew My Voice

By: Rhona Grace Magpayo

John 10:4 KJV
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

FEW YEARS AGO I was at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. anding the Vision West Expo, taking some continuing education classes for my optical license renewal. My classes finished for the day, I was walking in the hallway while talking to my nephew on the phone, telling him that I was ready to go back their house

After I hung up. felt someone tap my shoulder from behind. “Rhona a male
Hooked back, and there was a former coworker whom had not seen in more than 20 years. It was a pleasant surprise, and asked, “How did you know who was when I was walking in front of you?” “I recognized your voice.”

We exchanged pleasantries, updated phone numbers, and went on our indi
daal ways. I was flattered that he still knew my voice even though we had not
talked to each other for many years. He recognized my voice because we
had worked closely together in the past. The Bible tells us that sheep know their
shepherd’s voice and follow him wherever he leads. From that example Jesus drew the lesson that we can know the Shepherd’s voice and trust that He will guide us safe grazing place or lead us back to the fold, because we have a relationship with Him.

Do we recognize God’s voice when He tries to talk to us? He speaks to us in different ways, and tries to get our attention when we are not focused on Him. So many times we ignore God’s calling because we want to do things our way. We wait until things go wrong before we call out of our despair and seek His help. Or could it be that we are so distracted by the things that beset us that we cannot hear His still small voice? or even recognize it?

Like the sheep. I would like to have a closer walk with my Good Shepherd so I can clearly hear His voice. I want to trust Him fully with my life, knowing that He knows what is best for me. I want to live my life for Him and follow Him wherever He leads. I want to hear His welcoming voice when He ushers me into the heavenly home He is preparing for you and me

If you’re exhausted, abandoned and rejected just come to Christ and remember His invitation to come to Him .

Revelation 3:20 KJV
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Have a great day ahead to you all 🙏🙏🙏
