To follow Jesus there are lots of things you must leave behind. You can’t be a
follower of Christ and put your things first before the things of God. Many people want God to follow them instead of them following Christ. Jesus says in Matthew 19:29: and every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. There is nothing in this life that can give you eternal life than to forsake them and follow Jesus Christ. He is the eternal life Himself. My prayer for you this night is that nothing will take the place of God in your life in Jesus’ Name.
