David was enraged and said that the rich man must die, and Nathan adamantly told David that “he was the man.”
While blinded by his own sin, David condemned the rich man harshly. He disobeyed the Lord’s commands and did evil in the Lord’s sight. Nathan warned David that his actions would create constant conflict in his own household.
When confronted, David, instead of attempting to hide his sins, immediately confesses to God, takes responsibility, and repents. God pardoned him and poured renewed grace upon him.
God also desires to pour out His love and grace upon us. He only seeks our genuine confession and repentance.
