MORNING DEVOTION

TITLE: HAVE YOU LOST HOPE?

READING: “Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou sadist, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.” Jeremiah 2:25 (KJV)

DEVOTION: The children of God are not immune from the pressures of the world. The world will continue to be unfriendly to the children of God because sin had entered the world. The only place that can provide peace and security is the name of the Lord (Proverbs 18:10). When you have Christ in you, there is always hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Jesus Christ has all the answers to all the struggles and pressures of this life.

As a child of God, any time you identify that you are losing hope, fan it by remembering what God did for patriarchs such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David; believe that one day God will come through for you. He doesn’t disappoint those who put their trust in Him, and you will not be the first to be disappointed (Jeremiah 32:27).

PRAYER POINT: My eternal Father, thank You for inspiring me today. Even though I’m losing hope, I will still trust You because You are dependable. If You came through for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I know that one day You will come through for me. Please give me the grace to endure tough times until I embrace my miracle in Jesus’ name. Amen!
