MORNING DEVOTION

TITLE: LIVE YOUR TRUE NATURE!

READING: “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalms 37:4 (KJV)

DEVOTION: Doing the Word of God is living your true nature. Mankind was living a divine nature before its fall in the Garden of Eden. The sin of mankind, and its subsequent refusal to repent, turned its nature upside down. Thanks be to God, Who sent Jesus Christ to pay for our sins on the cross of Calvary; this gives mankind the opportunity to begin to live its divine nature in Christ (2 Peter 1:4).

Delighting yourself in God is to love God for Who He is and what He has made you; celebrating Him for the little things He is doing in your life. If you are always happy for your life and thank God for everything, He will delight Himself in you and respond quickly to your needs (1 Thessalonians 5:18). “Enjoy the Lord, and he will give what your heart asks” (Psalm 37:4) Enjoy God!

PRAYER POINT: My eternal Father, thank You for educating me to live my true nature. Yes, my true nature is to delight in and give You thanks in all things. I put Your teaching to work by creating an atmosphere of delight, thanksgiving, and joy so that You can give me the desires of my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen!
