One of the reasons why we must always examine ourselves is that we are in the last days and it is so easy to abandon our faith. Self-examination is a tool for spiritual growth. 1 Corinthians 11:31 says: “for if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged”. We should be good examples to others. The level of our love for God and the brethren requires constant self-examination of our works of faith. It is necessary to take action now and make amends.
