A true friend will hurt your feelings to protect you from doing the wrong thing. But, many people will rather choose those that will encourage them to do the wrong things as their true friends. Jesus will call you his friend if you are willing to be corrected by His word. Most times the correction hurts. Sometimes God expects you to give Him the most valuable thing in your life. Will you be ready to give the one thing you cherish most in your life to Him? Abraham did it and God called him His friend. Remember you can’t choose Jesus to be your friend, only Him can choose you (John 15:16).
